The Wonderful Life of Aron

Me, me, and more me. What else is there to life?

Mmmmmm, I love Thanksgiving! Most of the time I only have one Thanksgiving meal, but this year I had Thanksgiving at Manda's house and mine, two great meals! In a way I'm glad Manda couldn't come to my Thanksgiving, that way she doesn't have to meet my embarrassing family, but this also means I didn't get to show her off, oh well. I didn't eat much at Manda's, wanted to save room for mine too, but for some reason my little bit filled me up. I couldn't eat much at home, but I had enough room for stuffing and pie!
Wednesday I went bowling with Manda, Kate, Dave, Jenny, Mike, Amber, and Matt. It was fun. On like the 4th or 5th frame of our second game I threw a gutter ball, then dropped my ball, then threw another gutter ball. I am SO ready for my bowling class! My first game I finished 4th I think, behind Mike, Dave, and Amber. My second game I finished 3rd behind Dave and Matt after coming from behind (last place). I took off my hat and sweatshirt, started "competing" with Jen, and finished with a bang!
Tuesday I went to the talent show. It was pretty nice, but there wasn't much variety. The schedule looked like this:
Joe Robillard - Guitar/Vocal, Women's Choir - Lip Sinc, Emily Seaver - Piano/Vocal, Jamie Scheffler - Dance, Shane Versalle - Guitar/Vocal, Alyn Kiel - Piano, Stanton Street Singers - Stomp type stuff; Gospel song; Stomp, Matt Semelbauer, Chad Rose, Eddie Fisher, Joe Robillard (aka Thwack) - Performed Teenage Angst, Patrick Hsieh (exchange student) - Piano, Lindsay Petsch, Jen Bowen, Laurie Kruger, Becky Putnam - Vocal, Riley Hughes - Guitar, Jessica Jaekel - Dance, Emily Semelbauer, Laura Semelbauer, Maranda Trevino, Trish Person - Vocal. Eddie Fisher and Scott Driskill were the hilarious M.C.'s, Maggie Gerhart had an funny "interpretive dance" as a filler, Gabe Dunbar had a hunting filler, and Heather Hershaft, Promise Long, and Tineel Casebolt had a funny sumo wrestling filler.
My mini review of the Talent Show:
I still think an Honors Choir such as Women's Choir should sing, not lip sinc, maybe only I think that (but it was my favorite performance, Scary Spice was the best). Emily is a really good singer. Still can't hear Thwack's lyrics, they need to turn the amps for their guitars down, it might sound cool if you're on the stage and can hear yourself singing, but we can't hear you. Patrick should be like Ta (our exchange student my freshman year) and join drumline. Someone couldn't hit the high notes in Lindsay's, Jen's, Laurie's, and Becky's quartet. I did not like Riley's solo, he has some nice expensive equipment, can tell he does know how to play it, but he still needs practice. In regards to Emily's, Laura's, Maranda's, and Trish's quartet, don't keep beat to one tempo and sing to another, if you have no tempo, don't snap you're fingers or tap you're leg, it makes the performance sound worse. Eddie and Scott were hilarious. The sumo wrestlers were pretty funny. Maggie was nice and entertaining. Joni Laus (the student director, a member of the stage crew, and a member of SSS) had a great mistake. Well it wasn't her fault, it was whoever was incharge of the lights. She was moving a microphone like stage hands usually do, and (I'm assuming Jeff Wildfong) turned on the lights. He quickly turned it off when he realized it was her, but then immediately turned them back on and left them on, stranding Joni in the middle of the stage with a microphone.
Had my first indoor soccer game on Sunday. We played Whitehall and beat them 6-5. They fielded practically their starting line-up from outdoor soccer. We have two middle schooler's at forward, a football player who has never played keeper before as our keeper, a few people that didn't play soccer this fall at defense, two bench warmers at forward and midfield, and a coach who hasn't played soccer in a year at defense on the team. The only people that played a lot in outdoor were one at defense, one at midfield, and one at forward. It felt good to stuff their "standout" players, they aren't really that great. I don't know if I just had a good game or if I'm actually starting to become good, but I think only one of their 5 points and most of our 6 points were scored when I was playing and they didn't get many shots. I had a really good game and I hope this trend continues. I would love to get my groove back, well I would love to have a groove and I would love to have a great season, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Our last game our coach is going to be gone so I'm going to be the coach and a player.

Random thoughts....

Being shallow and emotionaless your entire life and then suddenly out of no where becoming deep and thinkingful is weird. What's wrong with me? This can't be normal. BLAH! I think I might be growing up. Weird.

I saw on the news the other day that having sex is just as good for you as running 15 minutes on the treadmill and sex can delay menopause.

Signed up for classes today! On Monday through Thursday I'm taking western civilization to 1500 (history 101) from 9:05-10:00 (752). On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I'm taking basic concepts of philosophy (philosophy 101) from 10:10-11:05 (954). On Tuesdays and Thursdays I'm taking English composition (English 102) from 10:10-11:35 (652). On Mondays and Wednesdays I'm taking social dance (8 weeks)(dance 106) from 12:20-2:20 (518). Lastly on Fridays I have bowling (PE 108) from 12:30-3:30 (10 weeks) (1017).
So far I know I have Sarah Fekken, Dave Lazzater, Phil ?, and Katie Briggs in my bowling class. Krystal ?, Phil ?, and Dave Lazzater in my dance class. And Phil ? in my Philosophy class. Hardy har har!

Does it mean I was in band for too long if when I see a drum and bagpipe band on Jay Leno and one guy is out of step I notice and become extremely disgusted and pissed?

One last thing, in the past 2 weeks I've had a lot of people take mine, and I took a lot of peoples, so take my friend test..... http://www.friendtest.com/viewquiz.php?account=buckwheat88

In a convo with a friend online.....
"Hey what's up?"
"not much.... just waiting for the victorias secret show to start.....
I mean, ummm, doing my homework!
and yourself?"
"haha...nothing"
.....A few minutes later.....
"Ouch... my mom turned the channel... thats harsh
that hurts"
"good im glad"
"im not :'("
"haha im sorry"
Mom's are evil

Quotes from my lovely mother (storyline follows):

"What you can't spoon yourself?"
"Bebebebebebebebebe"
"My shirt!" "Your shirt?" "MY SHIRT!" "Your shirt?" "MY SHIRT!!!!!!!"
"NO SHIT!"
Kate - "ASS!" Me - "ASS!" Kate - "ASS!" Me - "ASS!" Kate - "ASS!" Me - "ASS!" Kate - "ASS!" Me - "FUCKER!" Mom - "ARON!"
"I'd rather have a 6 inch stiffy that a 3 1/2 inch floppy."
"Aron the moon does move....."
"OH! I have my pants on backwards. The hole isn't in the right knee."

During supper one night I looked at the serving bowl then my mom and back to to dish. I repeated this many times until my mom (thinking I wanted her to serve me) said, "What you can't spoon yourself?" I look at my sister as if saying, "Did she really just say that?" Then we both busted up laughing. Shortly after we explained to my mother what she just said she noticed the reason why I was doing that was because there was no spoon in the dish. So we couldn't serve ourselves.

My mom "says" she can recognize birds and names them. This past summer we had a birds next in our front porch. One day a young bird was eating at our bird feeder and I asked my mom if that was one of our birds. She looks out the window and starts going "Bebebebebebebebe." I finally get her to stop and ask her what she's doing. She looks at me and tells me (as if I were a moron), "I'm asking it."

One morning while I was brushing my teeth I got toothpaste on my shirt. I looked down and shouted, "My shirt!" My mom (who is 2 rooms away) asks "Your shirt?" "MY SHIRT!" "Your shirt?" "MY SHIRT!!!!!!!" My sister (who is in the room inbetween us) starts laughing hard. She found it hysterical.

A couple years ago my family was on our way back from a family reunion in Manton. This large furry creature crosses the highway ahead of us. My mom asks, "Is that a dog? That's a big dog." My dad replies, "No that's a bear." My mom (who never swears and yells at us if we swear) shouts "NO SHIT!"

My sister (Kate) walks past me after we got into a little fight. While she's walking past me she says "Ass." I reply "Ass." Kate - "ASS!" Me - "ASS!" Kate - "ASS!" Me - "ASS!" Kate - "ASS!" Me - "ASS!" Kate - "ASS!" Me - "FUCKER!" Mom - "ARON!"

When talking about bringing a floppy disk to school for English, my mom comments, "I'd rather have a 6 inch stiffy that a 3 1/2 inch floppy."

For an astronomy project I have to draw the moon and it's maria (dark spots of the face). I always put my paper that I'm drawing on on a clipboard and I have my mom hold a flashlight on my paper so I can see what I am drawing. In October I drew the moon about 4 times in one week then I stayed the night at someones house, then was home around 1:00 am, then had to much homework, then didn't feel like doing it, and finally forgot about it for a week or two. By this time the cloudy season started. There wasn't a clear night until November. Every time I drew in October I drew the moon around 10 o'clock and the moon was always south. This last time (in November) that I drew the moon I drew it around 7:00. This time the moon is east of us. I look up at the moon, point at it, then point were it was in the south and continued going back and forth for about a minute. I look at my mom in awe and she says, "Aron, the moon does move." The moron whose been taking astronomy for the past 2 months forgot. I am stupid.

"OH! I have my pants on backwards. The hole isn't in the right knee."
She didn't comment on how the knee was on the back of her knee instead of the front or the fact that the tag is in the wrong spot (she was wearing sweat pants, no zipper or button.

(p.s. the 6th and 7th quotes were added after original posting so that is why it is in both the comments and my blog.)
